Arrest warrant details allegations against Massachusetts psychologist

Clark E. Allen, an 83-year-old psychologist in Massachusetts, has been accused of sexually assaulting a 32-year-old female patient who had been seeing him weekly for six years at his home-based practice.

According to the patient, on October 7, 2017, the appointment began with him giving her a "very long hug" and then he massaged her while she sat in his chair.  He then led her to a bedroom and said, "Here, rest my friend."  The woman told police she was frightened and nervous, but she trusted Alled so laid down and closed her eyes.  Allen then lay down next to her, and according to the warrant, she became paralyzed with fear and was not able to do anything.  

The woman told police that Allen began to grope her breasts above and beneath her clothing, according to the warrant. Allen became more aggressive and touched her elsewhere on her body and told her that she was a fantasy come true and that he “always wanted to make love to me.”

As she grabbed her purse and tried to leave, she said, Allen grabbed her hand and placed it against his penis and said “next time I’m gonna ask that you touch me,” according to the warrant.

He then called her almost daily after the incident asking to set up another appointment.  In one voicemail message he said he was “really starting to enjoy this long distance love affair” and referred to her as his “much loved friend.”

After his arraignment last week, he was released on a promise to appear in court.
