South Dakota psychiatrist Dwight F. King sentenced to 160 prison for sex with patient

On October 3, 2007 South Dakota psychiatrist Dwight F. King was sentenced to 160 days incarceration and 10 years probation. He was ordered to do 90 days of his sentence in prison immediately and the remainder to be served one week in county jail each year for the duration of his probation. Dr. King pleaded no contest to sexual penetration by a psychotherapist—he had a sexual relationship with a female patient. ¹
