NY Psychiatrist Adrian Morris Pleads Guilty to Federal Drug Charges

ALBANY – A Capital Region psychiatrist specializing in addiction recovery pleaded guilty on Friday to distributing controlled substances to people for no legitimate medical purpose, the Department of Justice said.

Adrian Morris, 64, from Clifton Park, dispensed substances, including Adderall and Xanax, to people he never met or treated, and he engaged in personal relationships with women who were seeking treatment from him for addiction to controlled substances, according to a news release from Acting United States Attorney Antoinette T. Bacon for the Northern District of New York in Albany.

Morris faces up to 20 years in prison, at least three years of post-imprisonment supervised release and a maximum fine of $1 million.
