California psychologist arrested on child porn charges

October 5, 2016

An investigation by a county task force has led to the arrest of a child psychologist on suspicion of child pornography, the Contra Costa District Attorney’s office said Wednesday.

Kenneth Allen Breslin, 68, a psychologist with more than 30 years of experience, was arrested after officers from the Contra Costa Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served search warrants Wednesday morning at his Lafayette home in the 3400 block of Moraga Boulevard and his Orinda office, where he maintains a practice called “A Child’s Point Of View” on Altarinda Road.

Child porn files were found at both locations, Contra Costa DA senior deputy district attorney Paul Graves confirmed.

“Our task force is always looking out, aware of and cognizant of these situations and, resources allowing, we’re going out and taking care of it,” Graves said.

The district’s attorney’s office is reviewing the case, and will issue charges later this week, Graves said.
