Psychologist Richard H. Barrett suspended for sex with former patient

On June 5, 2012, the Arkansas Psychology Board suspended psychologist Richard H. Barrett's licensed for 12 months. 

According to the Board's Findings of Fact, Barrett provided therapy to a female patient for several years. The therapeutic relationship ended in October 2010. In February 2011, the patient moved into Barrett's home. They became engaged in June 2011 and were married on October 8, 2011.

The Board additionally revoked Barrett's supervisor status and fined him $5,000
