Texas professional counselor disciplinary actions

The Texas Board of Counseling took the following disciplinary actions:

On May 7, 2014, the Board accepted the voluntary surrender of professional counselor Robert Reed Berlin’s license. Berlin failed to maintain professional boundaries, engaged in a dual relationship with a client and engaged in sexual contact/exploitation with a client.

On March 21, 2014, the Board ordered professional counselor Linda Boyd to pay a $500 penalty for failure to complete a supervisory agreement.

On March 21, 2014, the Board reprimanded professional counselor Theresa Burbank and ordered her to pay a $100 penalty for failure to respond to the Board regarding a complaint.

On March 21, 2014, the Board revoked the license of professional counselor Dennis Wicker for failure to maintain client accurate records and failure to report to the Board an arrest and conviction.
