Ohio social worker disciplinary actions, June - Sept. 2013

September 25, 2012

On September 20, 2013, the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board (“Board”) revoked the license of social worker Danielle Bowman for failure to comply with the Board’s continuing education audit requirement.

On October 28, 2013, Alice E. Dawson agreed to retire from the profession of social work. Dawson had entered into a consent agreement with the Board in September 2013, which followed from the investigation of a complaint against Dawson by one of her clients. The Board’s investigation of the complaint found that, among other things, the notes she maintained in the client’s file were illegible and could compromise the continuity of services provided to the client in the future. Dawson retired rather than comply with the consent agreement.

On July 22, 2013, the Board revoked the license of social worker Miko L. Moorman for failure to comply with the Board’s continuing education audit requirement.

On June 17, 2013, social worker Sharon Cretsinger surrendered her license to the Board. Cretsinger e-mailed the Board in response to a letter that the Board sent, requesting an information interview regarding an allegation the Board received against her. In her e-mail, Cretsinger stated that she would not cooperate with an investigation.
