On July 12, 2013, the Maryland State Board of Physicians revoked the license of psychiatrist Robert E. Korman for no less than one year. Korman pleaded guilty July 26, 2011 to health care fraud. He prescribed the drug for his own use and “for other puposes” per the Board’s document. He submitted claims for the prescriptions for reimbursement through Medicare. He was sentenced to three years supervised probation, a $2,500 fine and restitution of $8.447.08 to Medicare.
