California medical board issues accusation against psychiatrist Carmen Gonzalez-Nate

On August 23, 2013, the Medical Board of California issued an Accusation against psychiatrist Carmen Gonzalez-Nate, relative to her treatment of eight patients, for whom she variously issued verbal authorizations to the pharmacy for prescriptions; failed to maintain chart notes for treatment he provided to the patients and without documenting a medical necessity; prescribed or authorized medications without obtaining or documenting a mental history or physical exam and failed to medically justify prescriptions or refills, among other things.
