Clinical social worker Kenyatta Abdoul-Shinte loses licenses in two states

October 11, 2013

On January 10, 2013, the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board revoked the license of clinical social worker Kenyatta Abdoul-Shinte. The Board’s document states that it received notification that the Arkansas Social Work Licensing Board had revoked Abdoul-Shinte’s license in July 2011 on findings that Abdoul-Shinte had entered into “relationships that might harm or exploit another party, committed boundary violations, and engaged in unprofessional conduct and negligence. Abdoul-Shinte applied for employment as a social worker in North Carolina following the revocation of his Arkansas license and did not reveal the revocation to potential employers nor to the North Carolina Board.
