Wisconsin medical board suspends psychiatrist Jonathan Thomas on suspicion of sex with patients

May 20, 2009

The Wisconsin Medical Board summarily suspended psychiatrist Jonathan Thomas for 30 days based on “probable cause to believe that [Thomas was] having sexual contact with patients,” according to the Board’s Order, which further states that there is probable cause to believe that Thomas failed to cooperate with the Board’s investigation of Thomas and failed to maintain health care records on a patient.  The Administrative Law Judge in the case may continue the suspension an additional 30 days while the hearing in the disciplinary proceeding is in progress.
