Maine psychiatrist Wesley McEldoon reprimanded

March 14, 2013

On November 15, 2012, the Medical Board of California issued an Accusation against psychiatrist Wesley Alan McEldoon, based on disciplinary action taken against McEldoon by the medical licensing authority of another state.

On or about February 14, 2012, the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine reprimanded McEldoon and imposed a $3,000 fine on him, based on findings that he obtained his medical license through fraud or deceit in connection with an application for emergency medical license he filed with the Maine Board.

In this instance, McEldoon executed and affidavit in which he stated that he would file a completed application for permanent Maine medical license within 14 days of having been issued an emergency license. However, he never did.
