Oregon psychiatrist Michael Thein gives up medical license on complaint of sex with patient

August 11, 2012

On February 2, 2012, psychiatrist Michael D. Thein voluntarily withdrew from the practice of medicine in the state of Oregon. The Oregon Medical Board’s Stipulated Order in the matter states that in November 2011, the Board received a complaint against Thein, alleging multiple boundary violations involving a female patient. A subsequent investigation revealed credible evidence that Thein engaged in an inappropriate sexual relationship with an adult female patient.

This so called doctor is an absolute quack. One session with this very unprofessional brainless moron, I was diagnosed with 11 different disorders.and put on multiple medications. When I requested that I have one on one with a female psychiatric doctor I was denied as he said he felt one on one with a female doc would do me no good. Even though I wanted to discuss my problems, not cover them up with drugs, he insisted that I did not need to talk about them, instead take more drugs. That it was just an imbalance. I could go on and on about my sessions with this quack. Less than six months later when I refused to see this quack again, he was selling camp trailers. The medical side affects I have from all the misdiagnosis he gave me and all the way wrong meds he put me on, will last my lifetime. I sincerely hope that every one sees this and runs the other way at first sight of this sick twisted quack of a so called doctor. Actually, I believe I'm gonna sue this moron til I can't sue him anymore and the clinic he worked for. If you are reading this thein, YOU SUCK MORE THAN ANY SO CALLED DOCTOR HAS SUCKED BEFORE!!

This resulted in trickle down affect that included his wife children grandchildren patients and friends. They were all shocked. His actions has caused great suffering anguish as she has tried to comes to terms with this. His wonderful wife stayed with him 3 years after her finding out about the 8 year affair with his patient. She finally couldn't take it any longer seperated from him and filed for devorce. This very devastating in her life she trying to move on. As for him he should never be able to get his license again in in any state! I don't doubt that he has had sexual relationships with other patients. The only reason this surfaced is because the patient reported him.
