Colorado psychology board places Frank A. Patton on probation

October 8, 2008

The Colorado State Board of Psychologist Examiners placed psychologist Frank A. Patton on probation for 18 months during which time his practice shall be monitored by a Board-approved monitor (an arrangement which includes regular meetings and reports to the Board). This disciplinary action was taken for the following reasons: a) Patton failed to provide a mandatory disclosure statement to a client during the initial client contact, as required by state law/regulations and b) Patton inappropriately publicly discussed an assault at a prison which included his description of the decapitation of a chaplain during an assault by a prisoner.

(Stipulation and Final Agency Order, In the Matter of Disciplinary Proceedings Regarding the License to Practice Psychology in the State of Colorado of Frank A. Patton, Psy.D., License No. 1107, State Board of Psychologist Examiners, 8 October 2008.)
