Maine medical board suspends psychiatrist John Matt Dorn

April 29, 2011

On April 12, 2011, the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine summarily suspended the license of psychiatrist John Matt Dorn after reviewing information alleging that Dorn had engaged in inappropriate conduct with a patient.

Based on that review, the Board concluded that Dr. Dorn’s continued practice of medicine presented an imminent threat to the safety of his patients.

An adjudicatory hearing to address the summary suspension will be held in May 2011.
