Michigan psychologist charged with health insurance fraud

On June 12, a criminal complaint was filed against Michigan psychologist George Compton Jr., accusing him of defrauding health insurance companies by billing them for hundreds of counseling sessions that never took place.

He allegedly made more than $250,000 from the fraud scheme.
