Psychiatrist Billy Lockhart Pleads Guilty to Possession of Child Pornography

July 18, 2018

A former University of California, San Francisco psychiatrist Billy Lockhart pleaded guilty Wednesday to possession of child pornography. Lockhart was a resident for UCSF’s department of psychiatry when he was arrested in May 2017 at his home, police said.

A search warrant was served and investigators found more than 600 videos and pictures of child pornography on various devices belonging to Lockhart. Investigators also found hundreds of files of child pornography on his boyfriends devices, police said.

The San Francisco Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit started looking into Lockhart in March 2017 after investigators found he was uploading and trading child pornography online — at times using UCSF Wi-Fi, officials said.
