New York psychiatrist pleads guilty to criminal trespass for falsifying records

September 19, 2017

Dr. Morales D. Brown, a psychiatrist in New York, pleaded guilty to criminal trespass and paid $5,486.86 restitution to the state as part of his plea agreement.  Brown was also ordered to serve 25 hours of community service and was forced to leave state employment.

While working at the Central New York Psychiatric Center in 2016, Brown falsified three medical records and submitted false time and attendance records for time that he did not work.

His case was referred to the New York State Office of Professional Medical Conduct to determine Brown's fitness as a licensed physician.
