Scottish psychologist accused of sexual relationship with patient

August 2, 2017

Markus Themessl-Huber, a psychologist in Scotland, has been accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a patient.  He allegedly discharged the patient early to continue their relationship.

He faces charges regarding this at the Health and Care Professions Tribunal Service.  If the charges are proven, he could lose his license.

The Health and Care Professions Council, which regulates practitioner psychologists in the UK, say his actions constituted misconduct and his fitness to practice is impaired.
