State of Ohio suspends mental health counselor Marsha Manon over billings

July 19, 2012

On December 12, 2011, the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage and Family Therapist Board reprimanded professional clinical counselor Marsha Manon.

The Board’s document states that between February 26, 2011 and March 2, 2011, Manon, while employed by Compass Corporation for Recovery Services in Toledo, Ohio, engaged in billing irregularities or fraud with respect to insurance companies or direct billing.

Manon inaccurately recorded start and end times on three separate patient progress notes. In addition to reprimand, the Board suspended Manon’s supervisory credential for 18 months.
