On April 20, 2007, the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists revoked Gary L. Weinberg’s professional counselor license because he entered into a dual relationship with a client; compromised the counseling relationship; subjected the client to psychological trauma; damaged the client’s interests and welfare; fostered dependency; introduced inappropriate sexual content into the counseling relationship by engaging in inappropriate sexual language, sexual exploitation, sexual harassment, sexual behavior and therapeutic deception.¹
